Managed accounts

What is an Atlassian “managed”vs “unmanaged” account?

Unmanaged account: When you have an Atlassian account that is unmanaged, it means you are the owner of your Atlassian Account. If you manage your Atlassian account (that is, the account is not managed by your company/admin), you can update the details of your account.

Managed account: Your admin manages your Atlassian account and your access to Atlassian products. You become a managed account when your admin verifies your Atlassian organization with your account email address. In some cases, you'll need to contact your admin to change your account email address, password, and other account details.

Your Atlassian organization admin can delete or deactivate your Loom account at any time, which would result in you losing access to Loom. If your admin edits your name or email on your Atlassian account it will update your name or email in Loom.

What happens if there is an email overlap between my existing Loom account and Atlassian accounts?

If you have an existing Loom account and the admin of your organization purchases Loom from Atlassian.com with a verified domain then you will need to merge your existing Loom account with your Atlassian account. More information on the merging process can be found here.
