How to start a recording:

  1. Open your Loom app and then click on the Loom icon at the bottom of your screen. From here, you can choose which capture mode you want to record: Screen, Cam, or Audio mode.

🔐You'll be prompted to grant permission to record audio and video, display over other apps, and screencast. You will need to grant them all before starting a recording.

  2. After a 3-second countdown, your recording will begin. You see a control menu where you can track the progress of your recording. You can move your control menu around on your screen by hovering and holding.

💡 To prevent the recording menu from appearing in your final video, you'll need to adjust your Recording Preferences.
  3. Tap the Cam off button 🎥 if you want to turn on your camera to record in screen + cam mode. Tap Cam on to remove it.

  4. Hit the red stop button in the recording control bar to stop the recording. Once you're done recording, you can add a title to your video and choose how you want to share it.
