Loom is free to verified teachers at schools, universities, or educational institutions who are using Loom for classroom work. In order to be verified for the Loom education plan, you must:

Be a teacher affiliated with an accredited institution

At least 13 years of age

Signed up to Loom with your educator email address
If you currently have an existing account with a teacher email and you're an Admin in your Workspace, you can verify your account via this form, and we'll start the verification process. Please allow up to three business days for us to process your request.

What happens after I sign up with my school email address?
Once verified, you will receive an email to confirm your account status has changed to 'education'. You can check this by visiting your Plan and Billing page and looking for Loom Education.
Please note if someone from your school or university has requested access to Loom for Education, your domain will not already be verified. You will still need to verify your account via this form.

FAQ
You will receive an email confirming that your account has been automatically upgraded to Loom Education for free. You can also check your account status here. (Please note it will currently say Loom Business trial).
We recommend updating your email address from your account settings or creating a new account with your school email address. We can apply the education discount to one account per person. If you've been paying for Loom Business as an educator, we can not refund, discount, or credit past payments made.
This is only for teachers and educators, but we'll always offer a free version of Loom through our Loom Starter plan.
Yes! You just need to be at least 13 years old, signed up to Loom with an EDU email, and be the Admin of your own Workspace. If you meet all the requirements, you can verify your account via this form
