How to record a Custom Size video

Record only your preferred section of your screen. 📐

If you're recording on a Mac device using the Loom Desktop App, you can crop and record a specific section of your screen using Custom Size recording mode. This way you control exactly what the viewer can see!

Here's how:

  1. Launch the Loom Desktop App, select 'Custom Size' as your capture mode

  4. Once you're happy with the space selected, simply hit 'Start Recording (or cmd + shift + L) and away we go.

Can I record a custom recording size on the Windows App?

Not quite yet, but this functionality will be available on the Windows app soon! We'll be in touch once this functionality is live.
