How to manage your link expanding, integrations and inline play

Watch Loom videos without leaving your favorite platforms. ⚙️

With Loom's Link Expanding feature, copying & pasting a Loom video link into supported platforms will automatically pull in the Loom embed player. This allows you to watch the video inline so you don't have to leave the context of the conversation.

To facilitate link expanding, you must have the Loom Chrome extension installed. By having this installed, you unlock the ability for the Chrome Extension to recognize Loom links and turn them into the embedded video player.

Here's an example of a Loom video linked in a Trello card

You can easily manage your Link Expanding settings in your Loom Account Settings, here's how:

  1. From your Library, click your avatar bubble in the top right corner and select Account Settings.

  2. Select Integrations from top navigation bar.

  3. From here, you can manage which platforms you would like the Loom extension to automatically pull the Loom embed player when a video link is added.

Here are the platforms Loom integrates with for embedded/inline videos 👇

Integration Google Workspaces & Google Chat

If you share a Loom video to Google Docs or Google Slides your video will be turned in into a Smart chip. Smart chips provide a preview of your Loom video as well as the video summary (as seen below).

Integration with Chameleon

We also have an integration with Chameleon!

To use this integration, you will need to enable Loom in Chameleon integrations dashboard. You can then share a Loom video by launching it from a button with the Additional Actions feature, as seen below.  Learn more about this integration here
